About Mona

I’m a reporter for Eater Los Angeles where I cover restaurants, bars, and hospitality throughout Southern California. I joined Eater LA in 2017, and while the focus is all of Los Angeles, my specialties are California’s restaurant industry regulations and laws, gentrification, Black and Latino neighborhoods, the cannabis food industry, street food vendors, changing trends, and the deep history throughout the Southland. I regularly contribute to KCRW’s shows Greater LA and Good Food to discuss the latest food issues throughout Los Angeles.
